AVIATION
When asked, “Is being a pilot difficult?” a retired commercial airline pilot responded:
Anyone can fly an airplane. If you can drive a car, you can fly a plane. But being a pilot is much more than flying a plane..
Pilots must understand weather like a meteorologist, and aerodynamics like a physicist.
Pilots must understand systems like an engineer, and regulations like an attorney.
Pilots must be completely focused on the moment, while also thinking 10-steps ahead.
Pilots must make split-second decisions with incomplete information.
Pilots must be confident in our command, yet humble in our support.”
FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR
CFI/CFII, AGI/IGI
I went up for my first discovery flight on September 5, 2019 in N4VT (see below) at David Wayne Hooks Airport (KDWH). I earned a Private Pilot certificate there in November 2020. Then in 2023, I completed both Instrument rating and Commercial Pilot certificate at Conroe North Houston Regional Airport (KCXO). In early 2024, I became a Ground Instructor and Certified Flight Instructor.
As an instructor, it’s my responsibility to stay abreast of the most current and relevant aviation-related information available.
